Case Studies
Overview: The project was initiated as an Anti-Terrorist Campaign for the City of London Police. The contract called for the design; supply; installation and maintenance of a surveillance system with revolutionary number plate recording software. Over a period of two years over 40 CCTV cameras were installed at key entry points around the centre of the capital. The contract became known as the ‘Ring-of-steel.’
Overview: The system was installed to provide full surveillance for the town centre in addition to the civic offices. The initial contract was to install 35 fully functional and fixed cameras. The contract was the first in the UK to use touch-screen control. This revolutionary technology allows the operator to actually touch the icon of the camera image on-screen to select the desired camera.
Overview: Following the threat of terrorism a comprehensive CCTV system was installed at several railway stations. Victoria Station was one of the selected stations where cameras were located to view public areas. The system also featured comprehensive recording and re-play searching facilities. Cameras can be viewed in multiple locations by the operators.
Overview: The system was installed to provide full security control of the LIFFE London International Financial Futures and Options Exchange building. The access control system is capable of handling over 3000 people through eight turnstiles with 26 cameras. All the traders need to get onto the trading floor at the beginning of the day.
Overview: The system consists of CCTV Cameras, Turnstiles, Intercom Audio packages and Access Control. All designed to allow visitors and employers to come and go from the building and warehouse areas. A graphical display system also provides the operator with a quick visual indication of people using the entry and exit systems. The full 24-hour recording is provided from all cameras.
Overview: A fully integrated security system to provide full building security in addition to vehicle control for their new premises in Maidenhead. The axis control system manages the alarms for external detection devices and lift control – together with 12 access control doors. A graphical display system provides easy identification of incidents and full audit reporting for the operators.
Overview: The system was required to provide vital aircraft information as they crossed from the runway to the docking location. Two cameras were provided which allowed the operators to see a wide-angle view in addition to a tight zoomed angle to establish the aircraft registration. Unique at the time was the transmission process which was radio waves and covered over 1km in distance. The camera pictures were fed back to a control room in addition to the control tower.
Overview: The system consists of several CCTV cameras positioned on 4.5m poles. Each camera features infra-red lighting and high resolution cameras and lenses ensuring the operators are provided with high clarity pictures. Also included are several infra-red beams which throw an invisible line around the perimeter. If the beam is broken the camera is automatically selected on-screen and recorded.
